Call for Nominations: Advisory Board
Maintaining the quality of its published manuscripts is of paramount importance to any Journal, and JOIMR is no exception. Although our Open Peer Review allows a public scrutiny which can detect most potential problems, the experts on our Advisory Board will ultimately bear responsibility for enhancing the Journal's quality and reputation.
JOIMR Advisory board members are NOT expected to peer-review papers, although they may, if they wish. The Advisory Board oversees the standards for the Public-Peer-Reviews at JOIMR, and occasionally helps resolve disputes.
Duties
We are not looking for individuals who are prepared to perform peer-reviews (that function is provided by the profession at large), but for those who are capable of advancing the quality and reputation of JOIMR itself.
Nomination Process
Physicians, Scientists, Librarians and all who have developed a recognized expertise in any field of the Health Sciences (as cataloged by Pubmed Central) are invited to inquire about serving on our Advisory Board. If you would like to nominate a colleague for membership, please encourage them to write, or write to us with your suggestion. We particularly need individuals with experience in library and publishing methodologies.
Meetings
As the Journal is a volunteer-supported venture, there is currently no stipend available to transport Board members to any fixed meeting venues. We collaborate via email and telephone, as necessary, and, from time to time, via telephonic conference.
